Activities are appropriate for each child's age and stage of development. The playroom opens directly onto our large enclosed garden.
Our Garden & All-Weather Play Area
Our large, secure, enclosed garden provides a wonderful space for children to explore, play and enjoy the outdoors throughout the year.
At the top of the garden, directly in front of our standalone playroom, we have a dedicated all-weather artificial turf play area, providing a practical space for outdoor activities in all seasons.
Part of this area is sheltered by an aluminium-covered structure with pull-down curtains, offering additional protection from the weather and allowing children to enjoy outdoor play throughout the year.
Our garden also features a grassed lawn for active play, together with a sandpit and water tray for sensory exploration and imaginative activities.
With a combination of covered, all-weather and natural grassed areas, children have plenty of opportunities to enjoy fresh air, physical activity and outdoor learning.
Outings & Off-Site Activities
Learning and exploring doesn't stop at our doorstep. We regularly take children out into the local community to discover new places, enjoy fresh air and build confidence.
- Weekly library visits – enjoying books, stories and discovering the pleasure of reading.
- Weekly playgroups with other childminders and children – opportunities to socialise, make friends and enjoy shared activities.
- Visits to local parks – exploring nature, noticing the changing seasons and enjoying outdoor adventures.
These outings offer opportunities to learn through everyday experiences, develop social skills and explore the world around us.
Little Ladybirds Allotment
We also have an off-site allotment just a short walk away.
Here, children can discover where food comes from and help plan, plant and care for fruit and vegetables. They learn about the seasons, growing things and making compost through hands-on experiences.
